How to Manage Your Notification Settings
Control which desktop popups and sounds you receive in TrustPager. Settings are personal and never affect your teammates.
TrustPager lets each person on your team control their own notifications. Your settings are saved to your account and follow you across devices. They never change what your teammates see.
Where to find notification settings
Look for the bell icon on any of these pages. The bell turns green when desktop notifications are switched on.
- Email inbox — https://app.trustpager.com/inbox/email (bell at the far left of the filter bar)
- SMS inbox — https://app.trustpager.com/inbox/sms (bell at the far left of the filter bar)
- WhatsApp inbox — https://app.trustpager.com/inbox/whatsapp (bell at the far left of the search bar)
- Approvals — https://app.trustpager.com/settings/approvals (bell at the far left of the filter bar)
- Chat — https://app.trustpager.com/chat (bell at the top of the Chat panel, next to "New Room")
- Automation Errors — https://app.trustpager.com/auto/errors (bell in the top-right of the page header)
Browser tab (your personal settings)
Click the bell icon on any page to open your notification settings. The Browser tab has two toggles available everywhere, plus a filter on the inbox pages and Approvals.
Desktop notifications
Turns on the popup that appears on your device when a new message or event arrives and the browser tab is in the background. The first time you switch this on, your browser will ask permission to show notifications. You need to allow it for popups to work.
If your operating system is in Do Not Disturb or Focus mode, notifications are routed to your OS notification centre instead of appearing as banners. That is standard browser behaviour.
Play a sound
Plays a short chime when a notification fires. Off by default. You can switch it on or off independently. The sound can play whether the browser tab is in the foreground or the background. Desktop notifications must be on for the sound toggle to work.
Notify me about (Email, SMS, WhatsApp, and Approvals only)
Choose which conversations or requests trigger a notification for you.
- Everything (default) — you are notified about all incoming messages and requests, regardless of who they are assigned to.
- Only specific people — pick one or more teammates from the avatar row. For inboxes, you are notified when a selected teammate is involved in the conversation. For Approvals, you are notified when a selected teammate is assigned as a reviewer.
- Only unassigned — you are only notified when a conversation or request has no one assigned yet.
Slack tab (Approvals only)
The Slack tab appears on the Approvals bell only, and only when a Slack workspace is connected under Integrations. It lets an admin choose which Slack channel receives approval alerts. This is a workspace-level setting shared across your whole team, not a personal one.
Clearing your notification badges
On the inbox overview at https://app.trustpager.com/inbox, there is a Clear Notifications button in the top-right of the header. It clears your notification badges and counts on the current device only. It does not mark anything as read for the rest of the team, and new messages that arrive after you clear will still notify you normally.
This is different from Mark All Read on the Email and SMS pages, which changes the shared read state for the whole workspace.
