Set up automatic PDF archiving for a form
How to configure the Submission Archive settings in the form builder so completed responses are automatically saved as PDFs in your Documents library.
Every form template has a Submission archive section in the form builder sidebar. These settings control how completed responses are filed in your Documents library which folder they land in, what document type they get, and whether the responses themselves are rendered to PDF automatically on completion.
Opening the settings
Open any form template in the form builder at https://app.trustpager.com/tools/forms, then click the Style tab in the right-hand sidebar. Scroll down to the Submission archive section at the bottom.
Auto-convert completed form to PDF
This toggle controls whether TrustPager automatically renders the submitted responses to a PDF when the recipient hits Submit. When it's on, a PDF is generated, filed in your Documents library, and attached to the linked opportunity no manual step required.
Cost: 1 credit per page. Most form submissions render to 15 pages.
Folder
All PDFs rendered from this form and any files uploaded by the recipient inside the form are filed into this folder in your Documents library. The default is Client Forms.
Pick any existing folder, or click New to create a new one.
Document Type
Sets the document type tag on every archived PDF from this form. Choose from Other, Invoice, Proposal, Agreement, or Report. Defaults to Other.
What happens on completion the preview block
The sidebar shows a live preview of exactly what will happen when a recipient submits. When auto-convert is on, the preview reads:
A PDF named
<recipient> <form>.pdfis filed in {folder} as {document_type} and attached to the linked opportunity. Files uploaded inside the form land in the same folder.
When auto-convert is off, the preview switches to confirm that the PDF is not rendered, and only uploaded files are filed.
Viewing archived documents
Documents filed by form submissions appear in your Documents library at https://app.trustpager.com/tools/documents inside the folder you configured. They also appear in the Documents tab on the linked opportunity.
