Understanding the connection health indicator
What the red pulsing button and avatar warning mean, and how to fix a disconnected integration.
The connection health indicator is a small status signal that appears in two places in TrustPager: a pulsing red button in the top navigation bar, and a warning badge on your profile avatar. Either one means at least one of your connected integrations has lost its authorisation and needs to be reconnected.
What triggers it
TrustPager connects to external services — like your email inbox or calendar — using an access token that the external service issues. Those tokens can expire, be revoked, or become invalid if you change your password or revoke access from the other side. When that happens, TrustPager detects the failure and surfaces the indicator so you know something needs attention.
How to fix it
Go to https://app.trustpager.com/settings/integrations and look for any integration shown with a red or disconnected status. Click Reconnect next to it and follow the prompts to re-authorise. Once the connection is restored the indicator clears automatically — no page refresh needed.
If the indicator keeps coming back
If the same integration disconnects repeatedly, the most common cause is that access was revoked from the other service rather than expiring naturally. Check that TrustPager still has permission in that service's connected apps or security settings, then reconnect from https://app.trustpager.com/settings/integrations.
