# GET /phone/a2p

Check where this workspace's US SMS registration is up to. US numbers cannot send SMS at all until this clears, and clearance is a carrier review that takes roughly two weeks and cannot be hurried, so this is the endpoint that answers "why is their US texting not working yet". Returns null when the workspace has never started registration. Otherwise returns status (draft | pending_profile | pending_brand | approved | failed) plus the per-stage detail behind it: profile_status (business profile), trust_product_status (A2P profile: draft | pending-review | in-review | twilio-approved | twilio-rejected) and brand_status say which review the sequence is actually waiting on, campaign_status covers the final step, status_message carries the reason on a failure, and mock tells you whether this is a free test registration (which can never send) rather than a real one. This is a cached read: it reports what the last update recorded and makes no provider call, so call sync_a2p_status first if you need the live position.
