# POST /feedback

**Resource:** [FEEDBACK](./feedback.md)
**MCP tool:** `create_feedback`
**Scopes:** `feedback:write`
**Write operation:** yes

Log a piece of customer feedback. Unhappy feedback (negative, or a rating at or below the workspace setting) is saved as needs_attention, and the team member set to hear about unhappy customers gets a high-priority task and an email.

## Parameters

| Name | In | Type | Required | Description |
|------|----|------|----------|-------------|
| `summary` | body | string | yes | One line on what the customer said, in plain words. |
| `details` | body | string | no | What they said in full, as close to their own words as possible. |
| `rating` | body | number | no | Their rating from 1 to 5. At or below the workspace "what counts as unhappy" setting (default 2) it counts as unhappy. |
| `sentiment` | body | string | no | positive, mixed or negative. Optional when rating is given. negative alerts the team. |
| `contact_id` | body | string | no | The customer (contact) the feedback is from. |
| `deal_id` | body | string | no | The opportunity the feedback is about, if any. |
| `source` | body | string | no | Where it came from. Default api. |
| `share_consent` | body | boolean | no | True when the customer agreed their words can be shared as a testimonial. |
| `require_approval` | body | boolean | no | Optional. Set true to route this write into the approval queue for human review instead of executing it immediately (returns 202 + an approval_id). Works even when your key/token has permission to execute directly. |
