# POST /email/blocked-recipients/reactivate

**Resource:** [Email](./email.md)
**MCP tool:** `unblock_recipient`
**Scopes:** `email-config:write`
**Write operation:** yes

Unblock an email address so this workspace can email it again. Clears the TrustPager Mail block and this workspace's own block. Only do this when the address is known to work: a hard bounce means the receiving server said the mailbox does not exist, so unblocking a dead address just bounces again. Marketing unsubscribes are never cleared: someone who unsubscribed and then bounced gets transactional email again after an unblock, but not marketing (marketing_opt_out_kept: true). A spam complaint cannot be lifted on the TrustPager Mail side (provider_cleared comes back false).

## Parameters

| Name | In | Type | Required | Description |
|------|----|------|----------|-------------|
| `email` | body | string | yes | The blocked address to unblock, exactly as list_blocked_recipients returned it. |
| `require_approval` | body | boolean | no | Optional. Set true to route this write into the approval queue for human review instead of executing it immediately (returns 202 + an approval_id). Works even when your key/token has permission to execute directly. |
